Flight Training Center

We are very proud of our Flight Training Center. The training curriculum is carefully designed to get the student pilot to his or her rating as quickly and professionally as possible with minimum resources expended by the student without compromising safety or learning. We integrate our lessons using accepted industry practices and procedures like CRM and checklist usage.

Our instructors are top-notch, often coming from the cockpits of commercial aviation. Two of our instructors were presented the "Outstanding Certified Flight Instructor of the Year" Award by the Federal Aviation Administration in Hawaii. Another instructor was recognized as the "Outstanding Aviation Safety Counselor of the Year for Hawaii and the Western FAA District."

Moore Air is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved FAR Part 141 flight school (Number 0RS686K) and a Veteran Administration (VA) approved school (Number 25109164). Please call us for details. If you want to understand the differences between FAR Part 141 and Part 61 instruction, call us at (808) 833-5628 and ask for our FAR Part 141/61 Flyer or email us.

Moore Air can provide FAR 141 instruction for:

To Our Foreign Pilot Friends
As result of the many Governmental changes that have occurred since September 11, 2002, the FAA stopped issuing US Pilot certificates to foreign pilots based upon their foreign licenses. The basis process has not changes. Any foreign pilot wanting to get a US FAA Pilot Certificate based upon their foreign license must submit to the FAA at least 60 days in advance the following: FAA Verification of Authenticity (at FAA web site http://registry.faa.gov) or a letter with copies of the required items attached (foreign pilot license and medical and driver's license--English translations, if needed), statements that the license is not suspended or revoked, name of FSDO where the person is going to get the US FAA Pilot Certificate (Honolulu FSDO, 135 Nakolo Place, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819) and other common sense items. The application or letter is mailed to the FAA, Airmen Certification Branch, AFS-760, POB 25082, Oklahoma, OK 73125. Call or email if questions.
